Website Design: Local Government/Tourism website example

Ruthin Town Council wanted to show the world what a great place Ruthin is to visit, while also helping local businesses and providing information to residents of Ruthin.

The new website demonstrates the history of the town, while using the most up-to-date techniques. The virtual tour includes panoramic pictures that allow the user to move around the town. Once created, the site was then translated into Welsh, providing two websites for the price of one!

Update: We have expanded the facilities on the website to include features like an online forum, an interactive diary of events, a newsletter subscription facility, and a searchable business directory.

Brief:	To create a bi-lingual web site that demonstrates the history and charm of Ruthin, encouraging visitors to the town, from all over the UK and beyond.
Result:	Site opened by the Mayor, December 2000 and additions made in 2002.
